Volunteers are welcome to assist in an exciting and rewarding program with Red pandas in Nepal. The survival of this species has been threatened in the past, so all conservation efforts are of paramount importance.
The Red Panda Trailing is located in Dhorpatan Hunting Reserve.
Location of the Project: Dhorpatan Hunting Reserve.
Arrival Airport: Tribhuvan International Airport
Volunteer Work: forestry thinning, pruning and tending activity in Community Forests.
Age: 18 – 50 (This project may accept volunteers who are under 18 years old with a letter of consent from a parent or guardian. There is also a family option, allowing families with children as young as 12 years old to volunteer together.)
Number of Volunteers: Up to 5 – 10 international volunteers
Important Note: All volunteers need a visa to enter Nepal. Please apply for this program 1-2 months in advance to allow sufficient time for visa processing. Families must upgrade to private accommodations for an additional charge.
Food: Three meals a day (excluding arrival day)
